THE RACE
The Western Shootout is a unique event that combines 3 different tracks into 1 single race weekend. Two titles are up for grabs with the first being the national Super Tour and second the coveted Western Shootout Championship. As our elite racers compete, the Western Shootout Champion is crowned for each class having the best record across all 3 race days.
THE TRACK
Thunderhill Raceway Park is the premier racing stage to host the greatest SCCA Hoosier Super Tour event. Featuring four full days, three different circuits with each building to the longest track run on the season’s tour, a challenging 5 mile super course.
THE SCHEDULE
Participants arrive for a Thursday practice session divided into a morning on the 3 mile by-pass course with the afternoon session on the 3 mile course. Friday starts with a qualifying session leading to a Super Tour Race #1 on the 3 mile short course. Saturday begins with a qualifying session on the 3 mile course with Super Tour Sprint Race #2 in the afternoon. Sunday is the main event, opening with morning practice on the 5 mile full track and ending with the Western Shootout Feature Race.
